The arranged infrastructure of HPE is based on three key elements:
— Flexible pools of resources: computing, data storage and network — providing uniform infrastructure for expansion of different operational loads: physical, virtual and containers;
— The program defined logic on the basis of use of templates;
— The unified API interfaces providing simple and convenient integration of the Arranged Infrastructure of HPE with any platforms of management and providing cloud services.
The concept of the arranged infrastructure is implemented in the HPE Synergy system which beginning of deliveries is planned for the second quarter of the next year. Beta testing of Synergy will take place in the first quarter 2016, and participants of the London Discover could see this system in a forum demo zone.

The main construction unit of the HPE Synergy system is a 10-yunitovy rack Frame 12000 chassis in which the computing modules and modules of storage forming a flexible pool of resources for the arranged infrastructure are installed. In one standard server rack four such chassis are located. The computing G9 Compute Module 480 G9 and 660 modules using technologies of the ninth generation ProLiant represent edges with two and four processor sockets of half and complete height (it is possible to install in one Frame 12000 chassis up to 12 modules 480 or six modules 660 G9). Computing G9 Compute Module 620 G9 and 680 modules on two and four sockets occupying in the chassis respectively one and two compartments of complete height are intended for service of crucial applications.

The module of storage Storage Module D3940 which occupies two compartments of half height in the Frame 12000 chassis contains forty 2,5-inch disks 12Gb SAS, 6GB SATA or SSD with support of hot replacement which are distributed between computing modules of the chassis and are connected to them through Synergy 12 Gb SAS Connection Module. It is possible to install up to five D3940 modules in one chassis and to connect up to 100 disks to Gen9 HPE Synergy 480 calculators.

For connection to Ethernet networks, including convergent, the high-speed HPE Virtual Connect modules allowing to integrate up to 5 Frame 12000 chassis in the uniform domain are used, thus need of use of the switches Top-of-the-Rack disappears and considerably management of server connections becomes simpler.
HPE Synergy is compatible to all modern data storage systems, at the same time deep integration and automatic selection of resources is provided for HPE 3PAR. For connection to the SAN networks either Virtual Connect modules, or the "classical" switches Fibre Channel are used.
Composer dedicated servers for which two special slots are provided in the Frame 12000 chassis manage infrastructure of HPE Synergy. One couple Composer-ov (the main and reserve modules) manages five racks (20 chassis) as a single system; chassis connect with each other to the help of Fabric Link Module, the network of management is physically separated from factory area networks.
Composer uses the HPE OneView technologies and implements the concept of program control on the basis of templates: configures calculators, configures connections to the external and embedded systems of data storage, executes updates of drivers and firmware — both via the web interface, and through universal API on requests from external applications and platforms.
The Image Streamer module supplements possibilities of Composer and allows to create quickly images of operating systems with necessary applications and at once to load them on calculators. Preparation of such image takes only 15 seconds.

The exact perestraivaniye of resources under requirements of applications by means of Composer provides more effective use of computational capabilities and disk capacity, reducing costs because of idling or on a limit of the opportunities of the equipment. HPE Synergy implements the common universal interface for detection of resources, their search, accounting, configuring, providing, updating and diagnostics. This API interface is already integrated with the VMware vCenter, Microsoft System Center, Chef, Schneider Electric, OpenStack, Docker, HPE Helion and Arista applications, and its integration with Emerson, Eaton and F5 is in the future planned.
The uniform infrastructure realized by means of HPE Synergy simplifies use of traditional server applications and allows to implement cloudy applicaions and services easily. In this rebuilt infrastructure by means of the common interface it is possible to group quickly computing resources, resources of storage and network resources in any configuration necessary under the specific application.
